Servants Anonymous Reception
It was a great pleasure to see so many of you at the reception for our Servants Anonymous guests, Dominique and Carla . Both women were here for the extended weekend to work with our group and move us closer to opening our ministry doors in 2009. At the reception we were able to learn more about the history of Servants Anonymous, the work they have done in the past 20 years with sexually exploited women and the model they have created for replication in North America and around the world.
The SA Foundation is one of the few organizations internationally that offers a comprehensive and uniquely designed long-term recovery program for these young women including those that are pregnant and/or have children.
Human slavery is insidious and prevalent. It still exists today and has changed faces to become the enslavement of young women and children in the sex trade industry. It surfaces at an alarming rate in our neighborhoods with unfortunately little opposition. The SA solution is to offer those who are able to escape the sex trade a chance to take part in this three to seven year recovery program.
The SA Vision began in 1989 when the SA founder started a program in Alberta, Canada including three front-line houses, a day treatment program, pre-employment training, childcare and long-term affordable housing.
