Launderland: How Owned Business Will Support GenerateHope
Who knew that the simple act of doing laundry could change the lives of people around the world. This sign hangs in the El Cajon Launderland at 112 W. Washington in El Cajon.

It is hoped not only will this business help support GenerateHope for years to come, but also serve as the center of future businesses owned directly by GenerateHope. The following pie chart depicts anticipated sources of funding for GenerateHope at about the five-year point:

As you can see, Owned Enterprises are expected to provide significant support for our project. Additionally, such businesses owned by GenerateHope will employ clients in various stages of reordering their lives and teach life-skills in an environment of love. Lastly, like El Cajon Launderland, these businesses are situated in the very communities suffering the most from the problem of trafficked and prostituted women, but are often powerless to do something about it.
El Cajon Launderland opened for business on August 27, 2008 and achieved breakeven during the month of December. The business produced $12,000 of income during the month – one twenty-five cent piece at a time! That’s a lot of quarters!
