Man Sentenced For Recruiting Girls For Prostitution
San Diego – One of three young people who recruited girls to pose for racy photos and work as prostitutes was sentenced Monday to 68 months in federal prison.
Christopher Black, 21, pleaded guilty last Dec. 4 to conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking of children and coercion and enticement of a juvenile into prostitution.
Black’s co-conspirators, Jordan Arnold and Jessica King, also pleaded guilty and will be sentenced next month by U.S. District Judge Larry Burns.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher Tenorio, Black admitted recruiting a juvenile to work for him as a prostitute between Aug. 15, 2007, and Oct. 11, 2007.
Black also admitted taking photographs of the juvenile wearing lingerie and in provocative poses, which were then placed in ads posted on the Web site Craiglist to solicit dates.
The dates, however, were prostitution “johns” who responded to the ads and made arrangements to have sex with the juvenile in exchange for payment, according to the prosecutor.
Tenorio said Black also admitted driving the juvenile to and from hotels where she performed the prearranged acts of prostitution.
