The Journey Ahead
We are thrilled to invite you to join us this June 12 - 14, 2026 for the At Home and Around the World My Challenge.
Together, we will engage in a powerful, multi-day walk along the coast of Southern California that is so much more than a physical journey.
Freedom Challenge ambassador Dawn Hesse is organizing this peer-to-peer fundraising walk to raise funds for Freedom Challenge’s global work, with GenerateHope proud to serve as the local sponsor and host.
The route will carry us from Oceanside Harbor to GenerateHope’s safe haven in Coronado, through the streets and trails of at least eight coastal cities.
Why We Walk
GenerateHope’s work is rooted here in San Diego, with survivors in our own backyard. Freedom Challenge carries that same heart to the ends of the earth.
This walk is a chance to stand with both.
And there’s something sacred about choosing discomfort. Three days of sore feet and long miles draw us just a little closer to the experiences of the women we serve, who have endured so much more.
As a GenerateHope supporter, your participation is a direct investment in this work.
You’ll have the opportunity to raise funds for GenerateHope alongside your Freedom Challenge fundraising, and your presence at Carole’s Cottage on that final day means more than you know.
Every event we host is designed with intention, from the atmosphere we create to the way each session flows. Whether you're coming to learn, connect, or simply recharge, you can expect a thoughtful, well-paced experience that encourages real engagement.
